ouisiana born, As Cities Burn are no strangers to what it takes to make a successful band. Already having shared the stage with everyone from As I Lay Dying to Underoath and Norma Jean, along with releasing two successful EP’s independently, and playing nearly 100 shows in 6 months, Solid State’s newest signing are practically veterans already.

Now with their debut album on the horizon for a June 21st release, As Cities Burn are about to truly expand their fanbase, as well as their potential. “Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest,” is ten tracks of extremely contrasting dynamics. Running from the explosive opener, “Thus From My Lips, By Yours, My Sin is Purged,” to a fragile plea from an abandoned son in “The Widow”, each track does not only contain abounding passion with each measure, but keeps the listener guessing for which direction the album will take next, making each turn even better than the last.

With Matt Goldman (The Chariot, Copeland) taking producing credits along with the creativity of Josh Scogin (Lead vocalist of The Chariot, former Norma Jean) as Assistant Producer, it’s no wonder the album takes such extreme diversions throughout.

“The fact that he allowed The Chariot to do what they did with their record, let us know that we would have freedom to do what we wanted, and truly make the record our own,” explains drummer Aaron Lunsford of the band’s producer choice.

“This album is basically a story of our lives over the past couple of years, Lunsford concludes. “It is honest and hopefully inspirational. We are excited to share it with the world. “
