View Artist Page

It is with sadness that we inform you that lead singer Jimmy Ryan of Haste The Day has left the band. He will be truly missed by everyone in the Solid State family. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for his years of friendship.

Jimmy's official statement:

"So..I've decided to leave the band. Before anyone jumps to any
conclusions, it was my own decision. I feel like this chapter in my life is
coming to a close and it is time for me to move on. The guys in my band are
my best friends and my brothers and my decision to leave has been a
difficult one. I will miss them quite a bit as they continue on and as the
band continues to grow as I am confident it will. The past 4 years have
been some of the best years of my life. I want to thank everyone that I've
met while traveling all over the nation for sharing your lives, your homes,
your cities, your emotions and your love with me and the band.

I have a list of people about 10 miles long that I want to thank but I could
go on for days about how you all have affected my life so positively. So let
me thank you all here, you know who you are.

I'm stoked to move on but sad to say goodbye after these last few weeks on
tour as I finish out the year with the guys. My last show will be December
30th @ The Knights of Columbus in Indianapolis, Indiana. If you can come
out, please do so we can have one last dance.

Thank you and God Bless you,

Jimmy"
